SAR is looking for a senior level Operation Specialist for Mineral & Cargo Business Unit with hands-on experience on overall operations activities
Operation Specialist is responsible for providing training and conducting competency assessments for all operation positions.
The position reports directly into the Compliance and Standard Manager as well as M&C;Operation Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Delivering practical training sessions in yards/sidings/terminals/mainline
Delivering classroom training to staff
Conducting assessments on onboard and off-board staff
Completing relevant paperwork & administrative tasks
Providing feedback to candidates & managers in verbal & written formats
Formulating remedial training programmes for post incidents (CDP)
Providing operational advice to the business as required
Creating materials for DG trains handling and ensuring that all staff know how to report a DG incident
Liaising with Operations compliance and Standard specialist to produce modified & new training
Responsible for writing new and modify operational notices for competence and standards
Supporting the onboard and off-board supervisors and operation manager as needed
