الوصف الوظيفي • The chief operating officer (COO) is a senior executive tasked with overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a business. 3.2 Key Objectives • The COO mainly focuses on and execution the company’s business plan, according to the established business model. 3.3 Key Responsibilities • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures in line with the visions of the company. • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth. • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Engineering, Civil Safety, and terminal operations). • Driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals. • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication. • Controlling company costs, and introducing tactical initiatives to address theft and other losses. • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance. • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.) • Delegating responsibilities to ensure that the company can deliver and exceed customer’s expectations and meet internal KPIs. • Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies, and collaborate with management regarding the implementation of new ideas. • Completing performance reviews in a prudent manner. • Ensure that company guidelines are updated fully enforced throughout the company.Capabilities 4.1 Competencies • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development • Ability to understand operational issues quickly and make wise decisions. • Has wide knowledge and understanding day to day terminal operations and other business functions. • Strong leadership and outstanding organizational abilities. • Goal driven and proactive. • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. • Comfortable with public speaking and dealing external parties. المهارات international container terminal. • Five years’ experience as operations director on a major international container terminal. • Preferably 7 - 10 years of successful and verifiable experience in a senior management/ operations officer position preferably in a private sector company.
