RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shall perform the following duties and works:
Serve as Offshore Pipeline Engineer on an assigned project or multiple projects or the part of the project areas in Home/Contractor’s Office or any other places as decided by the Client.
Ensure detailed design and field installations are being done in full compliance with COMPANY’s standards and international codes and standards
Execute detailed engineering design of the pipeline, Post-AFC, and construction/installation engineering, etc.,
Perform offshore pipeline design.
Design / Review of the following:
Analyses/calculations: - Pipeline Design Basis, Pipeline Route optimization, wall thickness calculation, on-bottom stability analysis, Expansion analysis, Free-span analysis, Riser and tie-in spool analysis, Crossings design and analysis, On-bottom roughness analysis, Cathodic protection design, lateral bucking, Dropped object and trawl gear impact study, installation analyses (static and dynamic), Tie-in Lifting Analysis etc.
Pipeline material selection and material take-offs and other technical reports.
Field layouts, route map, alignment sheets, crossings, riser GA for pipeline design.
Technical requisitions, datasheets, specifications, technical bid evaluation, vendor data review, technical clarifications, inspection and test plans, Criticality rating for pipeline items such as Line Pipes, Induction Bends, Subsea Flange/Fittings, Coating, Subsea Valves and others as procurement support engineering.
Review of Geotechnical survey, Geophysical survey, pre-construction survey, as-laid survey and as-built survey reports
Review of pre-commissioning and mothballing procedures of subsea pipeline
Assist Senior Project Engineer / Manager in solving technical problems arising during project development and for interfacing / supporting the procurement department
Verify laying route optimization
Review and approval of pipeline installation methods
Review of installation procedures as well as installation-related engineering for subsea pipelines, loadout, transport and installations and others, as required
Review and approval of all the vessels and barges required for the subsea pipeline installation
Supervise all installation phases of the subsea pipeline on the vessel and ensure the safe installation, pre-commissioning and mothballing in accordance with approved design
Coordinate within members of pipeline discipline, other engineering disciplines within the department or project team as well as with operation, maintenance and other departments etc.
المهارات
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with special studies in pipeline engineering
15+ years of major oil and gas offshore project experience with 10 years at Senior Installation Engineering level or equivalent, with senior responsibility from the detail design to offshore installation.
Adequate knowledge and practice of ASME B31.4 & 8 and applicable pipelines ASME & DNV standards, design, construction, operation, pipelines analysis. Exposure to Saudi Aramco Standard will be an added advantage
The following software proficiency is required: - Pipeline Analysis: AUTOPIPE or equivalent, AGA, OFF PIPE/ORCAFLEX/DEEP LINES/FLEXCOM, DNV Tool (PET) - Finite Element Analysis: ABAQUS or ANSYS or Equivalent –
Good leadership, planning, organizing and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well independently and in a team
English spoken, written and working language
