Product Development Engineer

الوصف الوظيفي

Understand the end use of products, determining fitness-for-use of materials, and effectively advancing the specification development of new and derivative products

Work hands-on with prototype generation, material evaluation, and experimental design and execution

Drive the development and refinement of new test methods and characterization techniques in partnership with other functions

Identify critical uncertainties, designing targeted experiments, rapidly building new prototypes, defining and assessing fitness-for-use, and driving commercialization and scale up

Collaborate with up-stream processes, existing businesses, and our emerging product platforms to identify and assess the feasibility of new market opportunities and new technologies

Candidate Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in process, product, or new product/ materials development post-graduation
Solid knowledge of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply this knowledge to product development and challenging technical problems
Knowledge of experimental design and ability to apply statistics to drive data based decision making
Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and drive multiple complex projects concurrently from development to completion
Demonstrated ability to document, communicate, and present technical bodies of work
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence cross-functional teams, as well as work independently all while adapting to a changing environment
