Project Accountant
Division: Finance & Investments Department: Accounting Company: The Red Sea Development Company
Job Purpose
To coordinate and work closely with the Commercial and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely financial management of projects and related contracts within TRSDC. To assess and report the cost and budget forecast by month and by project and/or opportunity for each business unit.

• Supports and collaborates with commercial and technical teams to ensure projects are successfully executed within the agreed financial parameters in relation to the timely recording and reconciliation of incurred costs items on individual projects. • Assist Accounts Payable Team Members to achieve the above objective via continuous open lines of communication. • Assist in financial analysis work and completion of various assigned activities. Collaborate closely with other members of Finance team and support in other Finance department activities as required. • Review the payment certificate to make sure that the payments and the contracts are within the approved budget and it’s based on the company delegation of authority • Receives, issue receipts and deposits of all cash activities. • Handling the cash with full responsibility and ownership. • Paying cash upon formal approval and direct line managers instruction and as per company policy and procedures. • Issuing and controlling the sub-petty cash with the company employee. • Ensuring all paid amounts are records in a timely manner. • Prepares Reimbursement Claims on a weekly basis and submit it to Finance Department. • Petty cash reconciliation on monthly basis. • Controlling the cash on hand minimum limit on all the time.

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies and standards. Safety, Quality and Environment • Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude. Continuous Improvement • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
