Job Description NES Fircroft is currently looking for Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) to work on Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP) project. the role is Office Based Role
Overview / Responsibilities
We are looking for a person to co-ordinate with all other disciplines Consultant / Principal and / or Lead Engineers to ensure full compliance of the project design with the requirements specified on project design scope and on the relevant industry standards
OMPP is a multi-year, multi program venture covering both greenfield and brownfield offshore projects here in Saudi Arabia the scope of this program includes Engineering & Design, Procurement and Construction Management support.
Experience in offshore greenfield and brownfield projects
Experience in carrying out pre-service (Load out, sea transportation, lifting, launching, on bottom stability), and in-service analysis in-place, boat impact, pushover, blast design for fixed jacket platforms
Perform Structural Assessment and Modifications of Existing Offshore Platforms as per API2ASIM code
Perform design calculations of strengthening works on jacket walkway, boat landing, cellar deck, main deck, and design calculation of vent boom structure, Coordination with fabrication contractor & installation contractor
Perform calculations in SACS in place analysis with existing condition of jacket, strengthening of damage member / joints using grouted clamp & infilled grouted members, local FEM analysis of grouted clamps using nonlinear damage model, infilled Grouted members
Ability to understand and extract data from soil investigation and pile drivability reports of existing platforms. able to model geometry & other design parameters PSI input file entries of all soil curves namely T-Z, Q-Z and P-Y In-place analysis
Experience in preparation of Basis of Design and technical design reports
Good technical knowledge of connection design in steel
Excellent knowledge and hands on experience in SACS, STAAD Pro, SEASAM (GeniE) Software’s
Excellent knowledge in AISC, API RP2A-WSD, APIRP 2SIM, SAUDI ARAMCO standards and DNV regulations
Experience in carrying out site survey of offshore platforms, able to provide cost effective solutions
Skills / Qualifications
Must have bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in structural engineering is preferred
15 years of in-depth experience in structural discipline with at least 10 years demonstrated senior engineering experience in major offshore capital projects
Ability to establish good working relationships with clients and colleagues
Experience in the preparation of FEED & Detail Engineering of offshore works independently and carried out Checking /Review of deliverables
Preferred hands-on experience on proposal estimation including man hour estimate
Membership of any structural institute is advantages
Ensuring all deliverables are comply with quality as per relevant industry specifications & standards
Preferred have experience on constructability review
Report to Head of the Department and perform activities as instructed by HoD
