OVERVIEW
Role Title: Project General Manager
Reporting Relationships: Reporting to Head of PMO
Location: Jeddah
Role Purpose: To be responsible for managing the schedule, budget, resources & scope of projects to ensure projects meet their business objectives. Responsible for following PMO Project Life-cycle
SUBSTANTIAL OBLIGATIONS
IPE Factor: Impact: Nature and scope of influence a position has on its area of responsibility/ operation.
Key Activities:
• Deliver projects on-time, on-scope, and on-budget
• Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule which includes all tasks involved in the project, all project phases and dependencies (internal/external)
• Manage changes to ensure time, budget, and scope are agreed on by all stakeholders
• Continuously Monitor and report on activity levels and project progress, alerting management to potential issues or problems before they arise (issue and risk management)
• Develop and follow-up the execution of project risk mitigation plans
• Escalate issues in time and advise ways to resolve the issues
• Advise the project sponsor on the need to call for steering committee meetings
• Ensure the adherence to company standards and methodologies, including Delegation of Authority, Project Life-cycle Management (PLM) processes, software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and change management process
• Ensures Business Value Realization (BVR) study is completed at beginning of each Project.
• Ensure BVR realization progress, takes mitigation actions to realize as per target
• Ensure the management of BVR realization at the end of each Project and report the realization % vs the initial targets through accurate measurement.
IPE Factor:Communication: Position’s responsibility for communications both within and outside the organization.
Key Activities:
• Work with the Business Unit (BU) PMOs
• Work with internal teams to staff the project
• Work with vendors & partners during the Project Execution Phase
• Work with finance to ensure project spending and financial benefits realization are being managed effectively
• Work with business sponsors (BU Heads & BU PMOs) during the Project Execution Phase
IPE Factor: Innovation: Identify, develop and make ideas, techniques, procedures, services, or products
Key Activities:
• Advise ideas & techniques to mitigate risks and resolve issues
• Advise optimizations or changes required to maintain an effective PM Process
• Recommend improvements to business processes related to managed projects (including visualisation/Reporting to Management)

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS (IPE KNOWLEDGE)
Knowledge
Project & Change Management Methodologies
Education
B.Sc. Engineering/ Business or other Technical
MBA is a plus
Certifications
PMO or PMP or Prince2 or Toyota Project Management and Change Management is a plus
Experience
Previous project management (min. 5 years+) experience & a proven track record is a must

Supervises
No direct reports. But Business Unit PMOs /Dir./MDs/ SMDs to be followed up rigorously for progress to achieve targets in time
