الوصف الوظيفي Job Objectives: 1) Determine product cost 2) Monitor and control costing systems 3) Write reports and recommendations Job Summary: The Cost Analyst primary task is to develop and maintain a data accumulation system for the cost accounting systems. She is expected to work and perform all aspects of operational finance requirements including cost and variance analysis, development of annual product standard costs and analyzing inventories. Assist and provide schedules, support and analytics for year-end financial audit. Monitor compliance with IFRS and US GAAP and relevant company policies Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Prepare and analyze monthly COGS, PPV and Manufacturing variances 2) Track, analyze and report inventory valuations to management, ensure valued inventories have accurate quantities and are properly valued in accordance with GAAP 3) Create and update standard costs in the bill of materials 4) Establish appropriate and comprehensive costing system 5) Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports 6) Complete assigned account reconciliations and related analysis on a monthly basis to identify potential discrepancies in account balances 7) Report on periodic the variances of cost components 8) Analyze capital budgeting requests 9) Review rates of depreciation, labor and overhead expenses in order to suggest changes that will improve cost efficiency and profitability 10) Review and validate VAT and withholding tax items and ensure that it is captured by the costing system 11) Participate in the month-end closing procedures and lead/coordinate the periodic physical inventory counts 12) Determine/identify obsolete and expired inventories and prepare required documentations to write-off such items 13) Prepare costing analyses, investigate and report production variances and determine the cause and recommend appropriate solution to the problem 14) Assist and participate in the preparation of financial reports, the Long Range Plan (LRP), Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecasts, Financial Feasibility Studies and financial presentations 15) Support the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of internal controls within the organization working with cross-functional teams and external consultants 16) Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement to drive effectiveness and efficiency with focus on increasing automation. Extent of Authority: The Cost Accountant is delegated such authority as is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position as long as the individual operates within the limits of the company’s policies. المهارات 1) Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from reputable university.
