Mech Design Engineer

To prepare and check material data sheets and coordinate with procurement engineer to select materials. To formulate designs which are intended to be practical and conducive to the intended purpose. To collaborate with team of designers to meet the Project’s needs and provide engineering support

Responsible for Preliminary engineering to detail designs of all project Equipment piping in compliance with the project contract requirements, and company standards and procedures.

1.  Collaborate with project manager to determine project requirement

2.  Evaluate and recommend pre-engineering and engineering concepts, designs and development for mechanical systems and plants associated with water and wastewater treatment systems.

3.  Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.

4.  Ensures technical integrity, cost effective throughout the development cycle.

5.  Responsible for developing the design of the Mechanical systems and plants include piping and pipelines systems, steel water storage tanks, pumping facilities in coordination with other engineering section based on the best engineering practice, cods & standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO)

6.  Generate detailed calculations, analysis, and solutions for mechanical design to deliver safe, secure, and fully functional facilities based on the customer’s safety and reliability standards

7.  Work with Procurement and project team to source for vendors in complying with the project technical requirement specifications in meeting project deliverables

8.  Planning and executing mechanical design using CAD, solidworks, 3D programs

9.  Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manual

10.  Work closely with project engineers and other project professionals.

المهارات
Mech. Design Engineer Requirements

1.  BSc in Mechanical engineering

2.  Must have a thorough knowledge of best engineering practices, solid industry codes and standards background (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO) and use of engineering software

3.  Proficiency with engineering design programs such as CAD, & Solidworks

4.  Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices

5.  Ability to communicate in Arabic and English both written and verbal

Mech. Design Engineer Experience

1.  7 years experience in the water & wastewater industry

2.  Independent self-organizing tasks and supervising others with minimum supervision

Finally, experience in waters treatment
