Protection Engineer shall have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent in their respective fields and shall have a minimum of seven (07) years prior experience in the area of responsibility assigned and should be familiar in use of Personal Computer as applicable to maintenance activities. He should possess thorough knowledge in electrical protection system & electrical protection relays of all types. He should possess good knowledge in schematic & control diagrams. He should have previous experience in electrical power distribution and generation systems. He should be capable to study and recommend relay coordination and grading as required. He shall attend all operation routines including electrical switching, isolation, de isolation, testing relays, calibrating relays etc. He should be familiar with test equipment and test lab setup, he should be able to troubleshoot control loop and circuits and he should be familiar with electrical drawings.
