About the Position:
To make the production process as efficient as possible. To use various principles of engineering, technology, manufacturing and management science. It is a vocation that has significant overlap with manufacturing and industrial engineering.
Major Duties / Responsibilities:
Identifies definite requirements and prepares the specific schedules for testing, sampling and analyzing plant process equipment.
Coordinates with supports groups and participate in its implementation.
Participates in HAZOP process and other plant operations reviews.
Participates in the efforts and compliance to documented procedures, quality standards and Responsible Care codes.
Prepares production plan.
Monitors production and consumption data to find any deviations from the design. Must identify reasons for deviation and formulate corrective actions.
Monitors available stocks of process consumables and initiates timely actions to procure required inventory.
Develops daily work instructions through instruction log book.
Participates on troubleshooting analysis in the plants and coordinates with Process Engineer in identifying the root cause of the problem and identifying areas that require technical changes on production plans.
Collects feedbacks / suggestions from Shift Supervisors / Engineers / Operators about their day-to-day observations or difficulties in the plants and delivers solutions to improve the operation.
Maintains records of production, specific consumption and critical parameters.
Participates in the preparation of monthly and annual budgets.
Reviews major production problems with Shift Supervisors and/or Shift Engineers to find out the root cause. Formulates corrective actions and if necessary, submit it for process engineering study with consultation from Operations Specialist.
Prepares daily, monthly and annual summary reports to be submitted to the management.
Monitors process plant utilization and energy consumptions. Also the efficiency of plant and major equipment.
Interacts with operations and maintenance group for optimum utilization of resources.
Provides expertise to build a strong operation team by giving necessary inputs on how to improve team knowledge and performance.
Improves self-knowledge by participating in trade fairs, conferences and seminars.
Reviews professional documents, vendor information, technical reports and other materials of interests to our process. Provides a summary for section and company use.
Makes round of the plant and takes note of the process parameters, housekeeping and safety conditions. Deliver suggestions on ways to improve existing situations.
Carries out other similar or related duties such as handling of Operations Manager duties upon delegation, attending departmental meetings, serving on company assigned project task force, making professional presentation to management regarding study or providing practical findings on project progress.
Ensures full participation in “Eureka” and encourages the shift workers to drive better participation.
Complies with CAMEL (Continuous Awareness Must Eliminate Losses) process requirements. Ensures reporting of every shift personnel are within the required target. Guides colleagues to improve the quality of CAMEL observations being reported.

About the Candidate:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ of relevant experience
