thebigword Defence & International Management team is looking for a local Arabic Military Linguist in Khamis Mushayt on a contract basis for 1 year.
As a local linguist you will be working alongside UK advisors in Khamis Mushayt providing linguistic services on a daily basis (5 days a week). You will be required to help delivery training within a classroom environment as well as complete daily translations of classroom presentations and power-points as well as course material.
The working week will mirror a standard Saudi working week (Sunday - Thursday) and it is important to note that working hours could be up to 12 hours a day where required.
Key Requirements
• Must be a Saudi National
• Must be willing and able to work in Khamis Mushayt
• Able to work on the project for at least 1 year, however there is a high possibility this contract will extend
• Able to speak fluent Arabic and English
• Must be flexible and adaptable
• Have experience with translation & Interpreting (Arabic > English and vice versa)
• Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ideally have experience within a military environment however this is not essential
