The Senior Programmer Analysts role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new and existing software applications in support of Ministry requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Senior Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the software development life cycle.

Technical: Proficiency in a Variety of Programming Languages, Including

7+ years of overall client/server and web applications programming experience
Min 5 years ASP.NET, VB.NET, SOA and WCF Web Services
Min 5 years in JavaScript, jQuery, JSON and AJAX
Extensive experience in XHTML, HTML5 and CSS

Min 5 years’ experience in writing stored procedures and transact SQL. Advanced Visual Basic for Applications for MS Access 2010. Min 5 years’ experience working with ADO/DAO objects, ODBC and database design, including record sets in VBA and MS SQL Server 2008

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Education / Certification
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer certification (MCSD) is preferred in Windows Store Application track and/or Web Applications track. Having a MCSD in Sharepoint track is a plus.
