Desktop Support Engineer Job Summary To provide IS network, E-Mail, Core Business Applications and Desktop operational support with courteous, efficient, professional and timely service to the business using appropriate tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems. Observe, analyze and recommend areas of improvement of Information Services to the management. Strategic / General Duties and Responsibilities § Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services. § Resolve user problems with PCs, Email systems, network printing etc. Monitor Windows servers for any error messages. § Install PCs and peripherals. Install and upgrade motherboards, disk drives, other boards and memory chips etc. Replace defective or inadequate software packages. Provide technical assistance and preliminary information to system users. Refer major hardware problems to vendor service personnel for correction. § Replace defective IT hardware equipment such as monitors, printers, keyboards, mouse and other IT peripherals. § Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 7, Microsoft Office and any other authorized desktop applications. § Conduct basic operation training of retail system and other business application. § Any other relevant tasks assigned by the Manager or Supervisor Operational Duties and Responsibilities § Providing training about the how to operate Hand Held Device to the Van sales Man for all Location include Key Accounts. § Zulroute Front End S/W issue and Back End issue (All Location) § Download and upload the Data to VansalesMan Device according to their Delivery Plan (Including Saturday) § Installing OS , standard Application, Antivirus, Configuring User and Outlook to the New or Old PC § Create customer codes on ERP & Zulroute § Server and PC Hardware/ Software Issues (all Location except Abyar) § LAN and WAN network Issue (Dahban) § ERP Support § Working on for Customer Server Project § General coordination between Radwa and IT suppliers.
