The General Manager of the Retail Business Unit is responsible to lead the retail business across the Kingdom and in selected GCC countries. Key role include the transformation of retail business including repositioning the business, optimizing footprint, introducing new products and services, enhancing customer experience and loyalty, and building a performance driven team.

Description
Lead and drive the retail business unit end to end, including strategic and operational activitiesContribute to developing/ refining of retail BU’s vision, mission, strategic objectives and valuesCommunicate retail’s vision across the business unit and ensure awareness and dissemination of the strategic objectivesDevelop the business unit’s annual business plan and targets in line with organisation’s corporate strategy, in collaboration with the Strategic Planning Unit and Finance Unit and present regular updates to the Chief Services Business Unit OfficerReport Retail business performance on a periodic basis to the relevant stakeholdersOversee the development and maintenance of all policies and procedures related to the Retail Business Unit and ensure alignment with local, regional and international standards and practicesLead the Retail Business Unit, through strong leadership, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and staff pride in performance and contributionAssume the defined role in the various governance committeesLead the transformation of the showrooms in the new Retail Concept, including
Definition of customer experienceLayout optimization for each store based on its positioningTechnology planDevelopment and optimization of retail’s products and services portfolios Renovation roll-out planDevelopment and marketing the new brandDevelopment and oversee of the sales capabilities
Manage store portfolio including:
Review the financial and operational performance of all showrooms, and identify opportunities for improvementReview store portfolio and assess opportunities for restructuring and opening of new onesDevelop and implement a franchising concept
Profile
Bachelor of Economics or Similar StudiesMore than 20 years of experience, including 10 years’ experience in the retail of building material sector5 years leading a chain of building material stores with P&L;accountabilityExpertise in transformation programLeadership skills to manage regional operations
