Assistant Director of Nursing
JOB SUMMARY:
To support the Director of Nursing in leading and liaising with nursing teams in all aspects of Operational and strategic activities for the Division, leading and directing on positive patient experience safety.
Provide high level leadership and organizational ability to ensure that all elective and non-elective processes are developed and implemented to support the divisional nursing teams.
Taking the lead on the area of his/her responsibility to ensure the delivery of a high quality nursing service while meeting the key organizations strategic goals, efficiency, effectiveness, safety, quality care delivery and accreditation.
Ensuring a robust professional approach to service delivery and improvement so that any subsequent changes to structures, services and roles are underpinned by appropriate support and ongoing development ensuring that patient safety and quality of care is central to all changes.
Implementation of the nursing strategy across the Division with quarterly achievement reports to demonstrate effectiveness taking account of organizational aims and objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Licensure:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Science preferred.
Valid Nursing License from country of origin required.
Valid Registration in Saudi Council required. Saudi Council Registration at level of Nurse Specialist preferred.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 12 years progressive post-graduate experience with 4 years recent acute hospital experience as Assistant Director of Nursing/Senior Nursing post (Essential).
Previous experience of working in a multi-cultural environment (Essential).
Evidence of Innovation and Creativity (Essential).
Implementation of Change (Desirable).
Ability to Motivate and Challenge in a Professional Manner (Essential).
Knowledge/experience of Hospital Accreditation Procedures (Desirable)Project management experience (Essential).
Evidence of leadership development (Essential).
Detailed knowledge and understanding of current issues in nursing & midwifery (Essential).
