1. ROLE PURPOSE:
It technical support is responsible for installation, troubleshooting of computers, hardware, software and setup testing of computers equipment, and new applications software and upgrades, in addition to researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
1- Key result area – Desktop support
§ Installing & configuring Windows OS, adding the users in the domain active directory and configuring the network printers and assigning printing quotas using print manager plus.
§ Ensure that there is sufficient daily IT support to users and provide friendly technical service to URED and its subsidiaries.
§ Remote & Physical technical support for Off-site users in the daily IT to URED and its subsidiaries.
§ Troubleshooting network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment.
§ Diagnose and quickly resolve a wide range of Windows applications and networking problems to help minimize downtime.
§ Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized IT equipment’s.
§ Develop trends by monitoring and analyzing user incoming calls, problems and support requests.
3- Key result area – Maintenance of IT Systems
§ Monitor and check regular backups using Symantec backup exec appliance and tape storage.
§ Monitor and check Antivirus system (Symantec End Point) in URED and its subsidiaries.
§ Monitor and check CCTV, Finger print access system and Avaya telephone PBX system.
4- Documenting & Maintaining the IT records
§ Creating PO’s, managing records of the PO’s and other documents related to IT Department.
§ Negotiating with Vendors for IT procurements.
§ Managing IT assets and follow the Onboarding & Off-boarding IT checklist for the users.
§ Working closely with IT Manager in day to day technical issues, preventive maintenance and on new enhancements.
§ To execute any task related to IT services when requested by the management.
5. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:
§ The executive technical support reports directly to IT Manager.
§ The jobholder is expected to be a multitasking, pro-active, technical problem solver.
§ No financial authority.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge & Experience:
§ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
§ At least 2- 3 years of IT Systems support.
§ Good knowledge on multiple technologies such as Microsoft, Networking, Wireless, Google, Hyper-V, IOS and Android.
§ Experience delivering high customer satisfaction.
§ Skills:

§ Very good IT combined skills
