Summary:
The Systems Engineer’s responsibilities include working to design, set up and maintain a communication network for traffic signal system, cctv system and all related cameras, their integration into backbone network connected to the central control/command center. It includes hardware, software, and system architecture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Full responsibility to manage all network communication and CCTV system scope from design through construction, testing and commissioning of the project.
Manage all the network communication and CCTV system integration with the base designs provided by the client such that there are no scope gaps and the systems are functional and acceptable to the client.
Development of network diagram/topology and network cable plans as well as assignment of IP addresses.
Manage and monitor LAN or WAN network services.
Advise on suitable hardware and software to meet project requirements.
Manage acquisition, installation, testing, and maintaining project components and operating systems.
Maintain an inventory of network devices.
Perform routine systems and software audits.
Address system concerns and troubleshoot hardware failures.
Perform standard operating procedures.
Apply technical solutions to ensure system stability.
Prepare test documents.
Provide pre & post project requirements including product datasheets, design, test procedures, test plans, test scripts, test reports, O&M;Manuals &Training;material submittals… etc…
Manage all required close out documentation that is required to be submitted and approved to achieve final acceptance.
Manage all required close out test plans, test scripts and test reports for POP, FAT, SAT, SIT etc..
Coordinate/ensure all design, procurement, installation and testing requirements and compliance to the needs of the Contract QA/QC plans in line with the project QA/QC.
Provide dynamic input as required on the jobsite all required configuration parameter’s
Ensure all equipment is commenced and delivered to site in strict accordance with the agreed schedule.
Manage/coordinate with subcontractor all integration plan/requirements to successfully integrate the CCTV system.
Manage the testing and commissioning of the CCTV system and provide support to the agency’s integrated systems testing as required.
Provide support, assist in the resolution of issues relating to data traffic and cctv system issues.
Ensure proper filing/storage of documentation – e.g. drawings, assets, logs, procedures, test reports.
Identify risks and opportunities and act accordingly.

Skills & Experience Requirements:
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Information technology or computer related discipline.
Minimum 4 years (continuous) of experience.
With specialized training in the installation, and repair of traffic signal control devices preferably NEMA TS2-T1.
A certification of training is required.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Good understanding of systems engineering methodology and practices.
Skills:
Expertise in communication network systems and cctv systems pertaining to hardware and software.
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members in project management, integration, design and on-site team.
Must have the capability to evaluate the progress of teams and providing guidance and instruction to help teams solve problems and manage projects.
Excellent conflict resolution, analytical, and decision-making skills are crucial to this position.
