The Project Manager will be a qualified professional who has reached Senior Manager level (it is likely that the person fulfilling this role will have had or is ready to take on the management of a major framework contract), capable of providing planning, leadership, direction and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multidisciplinary projects.
The Project Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Atkins reputation with our clients and developing effective long-term client relationships thus identifying and developing new opportunities for the Group.
Responsibilities
Managing a multi-functional design and commercial team responsible for delivering many varied infrastructure projects in accordance with the client’s requirements.
Managing key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the client organisation as well as other government departments.
Establish project controls and reporting and ensure timely delivery of projects to time, cost and quality.
Progress reporting and monitoring in line with contract KPIs
Ensure resources are appropriate to meet current and future commitments and to maximise opportunities.

Requirements
Experience in design team leadership
He must have a minimum qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent, have Chartered status and over 8+ years’ experience.
Able to solve problems by thinking laterally and able to understand the needs and
requirements of providing design solutions in a developing country
Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary design team
An experienced Project Manager with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi-functional projects.
Experience of operating within major frameworks would be a distinct advantage.
Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.
