Role Description:
The Information and Systems Manager will be the focal point for all aspects on Information Management (IM) on the project. Working within the Business Services Group, reporting to the Project Management Office Manager, the role will provide IM guidance and advice to management on setting and implementing IM policy. The post holder will be responsible for establishing IM frameworks, educating staff in the use of those frameworks and ensuring the correct IM procedures are adhered to across the project. The post holder will also manage a small team of Information and Reporting analysts providing reporting services to management.The post holder will also be responsible for
ensuring all systems deployed on the project are appropriately connected and
use a consistent information basis to ensure integration of information.
Responsibilities Include:
Ownership of the
project systems ecosystem and able to advise on appropriate tools to
management and improve project delivery
Single point of contact for the leadership and management of all IM services across the programme.
Sets IM policy, implements that policy and educates all staff in its correct use.
Ensures Information is readily searchable and available to all users, within the bounds of the access policies in use.
Ensures the correct transmission and recording of information which is shared with any third parties.
Manages business reporting staff to ensure quality reporting in accordance with the timescales set by management.
Ensures records are legally compliant, secure and organised by following KBR Record Management Procedures.
Will undertake Ad hoc Project work as directed by Line Management.
Ensures full audit trail in place to satisfy internal, and external auditors (KBR or Client).
Experience and Skills:
Essential:
Experience of setting, implementing and managing Information Management policy.
Good knowledge and experience of business reporting cycles and reporting tools.
Strong SharePoint environment skills, with full understanding of access management for third parties (Client, suppliers etc.).
Knowledge and experience of the implementation of information into Service Management tools.
IT Skills – high demonstratable experience of developing,
implementation and administration of a range of databases and reporting tools.
Inquisitive by nature, able to challenge the norm and seeks to drive improvement through evidence and using soft skills combined with data to build advocacy.
Analytical thinking
Organised – ability to plan, prioritise and delegate where required.
Shows initiative, self-starter.
Sets and meets challenging goals and seeks long term improvement.
Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service with strong customer focus.
Strong presentation skills and experience of presenting to a range of high level stakeholders.
Strong team player and role model, capable of gaining trust and support of team and customer.
Desirable:
Experience of managing staff in business reporting functions.
Experience of working in Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries.
Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
Knowledge of the Facilities Management, IT or Delivery Partner industries
Qualifications:
Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in IT or business discipline.
Broad knowledge of SharePoint and associated tools.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Information Management field, 2 in a management position.
Have, or be able to obtain, necessary security clearance.
