Analysis and execution of public market investment opportunities outside of the MENA regionCovering both direct investments and fund investmentsInvolvement in all aspects of the investment processMonitoring markets, preparing research reports, and generating investment/trade ideasContributing to the evaluation and screening of investment opportunities, including assessment of industry, geography, business models, financial statements, valuations, and other fundamental and technical dataContributing to development and analysis of financial modelsCreation of investment committee materialsPresenting investment materials to relevant committees for approvalCoordination of due-diligence process and investment executionConstruction, monitoring and ongoing evaluation and analysis of portfolio investments, including P&L;analysis and risk managementManaging relationships with third party managers, advisors, and banksOverseeing Associates and Analysts supporting in the above work-streamsInternational travel as required
Profile
Bachelor’s degree from top-tier university in Finance, Economics, Engineering or Business from top tier university; Master’s degree and CFA a plusMinimum 6 years of relevant work experience (portfolio management, investment research, fund selection, investment banking or similar) at top firmProfessional experience in New York, London, or other developed marketsExposure to range of public market asset classes (public equity, fixed income, currencies, derivatives, etc.)Previous experience with the assessment and management of overall portfolio exposuresAdvanced analytical capabilities including creating, calculating and interpreting complex financial models - DCF, NPV, IRR etcGood team player with a high level of initiative, resourcefulness, and high standard of workSelf-starter with ability to work independently with external partners and consultantsAbility to work in a fast paced, high-pressured and dynamic environment with significant deal flowExperience in leading and managing teamsGood report writing in English as well as strong presentation and communication skills
