Description
Handling execution of due diligence and sharing relevant information across functional groups; Liaison, coordination, supervision, procurement and negotiation of third party consultants (technical, financial, tax, legal, investment banks, etc)Managing internal junior teamCovering direct investments, fund investments, REIT investments and investment in Real Estate companiesEvaluating potential JV partners / investment managersBuilding detailed financial models including developing sensitivity analysesProduction of the investment committee memorandum and undertaking quarterly reporting and investment performance monitoringOn-going asset and development management of the firm’s real estate portfoliosMonitoring and analyzing real estate markets in key citiesSupporting efforts to develop investment strategy and generate deal pipelineIdentifying and evaluating potential acquisition or divestment of real estate projects including developing and maintaining relationship with potential partners/vendorsConducting hold/sell analyses develop and execute exit plans for divestment of infrastructure assetsMaking investment and divestment recommendations to Investment Committee
Profile
Bachelor’s degree from top-tier university in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Business from top tier university; Master’s degree is a plusMinimum 5 years of working experience in real estate investment from deal origination to execution and post-investment asset management in US and / or European real estatePrior experience as a senior analyst / associate / investment manager within real estate investment banking, private equity or investment/asset management companyExperience doing direct investments as well as indirect fund investmentsProven deal execution track record across the US, UK, European real estate/ property sectorAdvanced analytical capabilities including creating, calculating and interpreting complex financial models - DCF, NPV, IRR etcProficiency in investment concepts and property-related financial modellingGood team player with a high level of initiative, resourcefulness, and high standard of workSelf-starter with ability to work independently with external partners and consultantsAbility to work in a fast paced, high-pressured and dynamic environment with significant deal flowExperience in leading and managing a team of internal members and overseeing / leading external consultants /advisorsGood report writing in English as well as strong presentation and communication skillsAdvantage given to candidates with: real estate development experience, exposure to diverse geographies and diverse asset types will have a greater advantage and exposure to diverse risk spectrum of investing (core, core plus, value add, opportunistic)English language required; Strong Arabic proficiency is a plus
