Hardware Presales (I)
Provides infrastructure presale support to internal and Business Partner teams. bidding.
Gather bid/user requirement from tender specification; evaluates and recommends new/upgrade of software and hardware to meet the project/tender requirement.
Provides infrastructure architecture design through industrial best practices and standards.
Provides infrastructure consultancy to internal and Business Partner teams.
Profound understanding of the IBM presales tools – configurators, modellers and pricing.
Keep abreast of technological advancement, emerging standards and new software or hardware solutions to continuously provide proven, innovative, cost-effective and quality solution.
Ability to apply experiences and knowledge into Infrastructure solutions.
Must have good technical skills and know-how to assist in technical solution selling.
Ability to lead and conduct Proof-Of-Concept (POC) and Demo activities to assist sales in closing deals
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent documentation skills with Fluent English.
Provides technical guidance to junior colleagues in their work.

Participate in the creation of a technical account plan and actively assist in customer meetings, seminars, and education
Define solution options and articulate the benefits of IBM Infrastructure solutions
Develop proof of concept, including presentation and documentation of test results and Develop and lead development of presentation materials
Deep understanding of IBM Power and Storage technologies and product suites.
Past work experience in a pre-sales role and in a vendor company
Deep understanding and being conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
Fluency in English combined with an excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and strong presentation skills
Very good interpersonal skills combined with capability of building trust relationships internally, with Business Partners and customers
A high sense of ownership, coupled with a strong focus on achieving results
Great teammate, willing to help others and prepared to ask for help when necessary
Create and present demos that are aligned to customer’s needs
Provides courteous, professional solution design support and systems development based on customer and/or user specifications.
Serves as escalation point and technical subject matter expert to team members and customers for assigned area of responsibility. Works with stakeholders in Product Marketing to ensure alignment with vendor goals and objectives
Technical validation assistance
Conduct basic solution demonstrations to overcome objections
Assist with Business Unit feedback and product escalations
Specialized knowledge of IBM Presales tools – configurators, modellers and pricing.
