The Cost Control Engineer is responsible to constantly evaluate and update the accuracy of the program cost forecast by assessing actual cost incurred and physical progress achieved for all phases of the program.
Role specifications include, but not limited to:
• Review cost commitment and expenditure information for all cost elements
• Set-up work breakdown and project coding structures
• Assist in developing and managing project budget in consultation with Project Director and program team
• Analyse variance in cost and schedule
• Identify trends and deviations and report to the project controls
• Recommend solutions and recover plans to address schedule and cost impacts
• Prepare documentation to support scope changes in relation to budget, estimate and forecast
• Provide accurate and timely financial cost status reports including maintaining
The successful candidate should be very familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite and have demonstrable experience in cost forecasting, cost accounting, project accounting, budgeting and estimating.
