Extensive knowledge of enterprise Ethernet, VLANs, Routing, Switching and IP addressing strong understanding of TCP/IP, switching technologies (Cisco Nexus (7k’s, 5k’s, 2k’s, 9k’s, Catalyst 6K’s & 4k’s, VLAN’s, STP, RSTP, VPC, VPC+, OTV, VXLAN, DHCP,DNS,UCS-B series, SD-Access & SD-WAN).
Cisco ACI knowledge and understanding a plus.
Expert knowledge of Cisco Nexus converged switching, Cisco ASA’s, Cisco IOS, NX-OS.
Strong experience with OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
Knowledge of Cisco switching and routing hardware product line
Good understanding of firewall security policy administration and filter rules i.e. ACLs, IPS/IDS etc.

After-hours and weekend work may be required.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team building skills
Can adapt when assignments change and can easily adjust to shifting priorities.
Desirable Qualifications
A university degree in Engineering Computer Sciences or similar / Equivalent qualification or workplace experience
CCIE DC essential and/or CCIE R&S;is plus.
Other Networking and Security qualifications (vendor or non-vendor specific).
