About the Role
Working as an integral member of the Operations Management Team you will maintain and improve all aspects of a multi-user site stock integrity. With responsibility to drive the business to operational excellence by utilising the Unipart Way Principles, tools, and techniques, you will ensure all agreed SLA and KPI’s are consistently achieved. You will strive for continuous improvement within the site; continuously driving to reduce shrinkage by process improvement, and monitoring of results. In addition, you will ensure the Company has a reduced stock liability commercially through procedural compliance. Accountability for resource scheduling including recruitment, training / development, and succession planning of the resources required to fulfil the requirements of the Client, within budget is also part of your role. Putting in place development plans to address issues arising from employee engagement feedback mechanisms resulting in Unipart Logistics being recognised as an employer of choice will form part of your continuous improvement approach.
Principal Accountabilities
* Overall responsibility for operational resilience within movement and control of all stocks and status * Responsible for reducing company stock liability through cyclical PI and policing the inbound, fulfilment, returns and repair stock movements of all Clients and UL titled stocks * Planning and delivering annual stock takes * Responsible for ensuring robust process improvements are in place to reduce stock/financial liability within the business * Develop and improve procedures to comply with ISO and SOX requirements as well as internal requirements * Highlight any critical level or serious issues to the Senior Management Team * Identify and project manage corrective actions across operations to ensure the business has the most efficient systems in regard to stock at all times * Responsible / accountable for the succession planning and development of the stock control team to compliment the departments strategy and meet the business’ needs * Support commercial with new implementation and attending Client reviews * Manage and motivate a team, setting clear KPI’s and objectives to ensure high standards of achievements * Ensure that the Unipart Way principles, systems, tools and techniques are driving cost reduction and quality benefits * Responsible for the implementation of the Unipart Way plans and subsequently coach, mentor and support the delivery of the Unipart Way across Stock Operations Team
About You
Essential:
* Previous Management/Supervisory experience * Previous Inventory/Stock management experience * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Proven in managing large numbers of SKU’s in a challenging FMCG environment * Able to create procedures and ensure rigorous adherence to procedures for both team members and internal / external customers and process owners * Able to identify process gaps and deliver process improvements * Strong management skills aimed at effective team management and robust working relationships * Commercial and Financial awareness * Able to create and maintain robust and effective Client relationships and management skills. * Flexibility to work additional hours to meet the needs of the business
Desirable:
* Excellent understanding of supply chain management and stock accounting principles * Project Management skills * Knowledge of six sigma advantage * A pro-active change agent * Ideally qualified in a professional CILT qualification Salary Competitive salary and benefits package
