Job Description JOB SUMMARY

Provide analytical solutions at Analytical Science STC-J chromatography lab to support the business continuity of SBUs/Manufacturing and T&I;project development of proprietary technologies resulting in new products, new application development and productivity. Contribute to continuous improvement of lab operation and efficiency and implement EHSS/SHEMs procedures.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Provide technical research and analytical solutions in enhancing
competitiveness and sustainability by understanding and exploiting research at the gas chromatography and advance characterization mass spectrometry (GC HPLC GC-MS UV IR MS SCD NCD)
as well as understanding BU’s and manufacturing analysis needs.
Develop, validate, and document analytical methods and operating procedures according to specific sample or testing requirements.
Performing analysis in gas chromatography, dissolution testing, and other associated techniques include analytical method development, method validation, method transfers, and method verifications.
Develop & manage external networks, technical partnerships, talent pipeline and succession research plan.
Manage a team of data scientists, instrument-learning analysis, collection procedures, ensure data quality, integrity, Interpret and analyze data problems.
Perform analytical research focused on chemical, polymers, gases, additives, catalysts, solvents, petrochemicals and etc.
Ensure that laboratory data and results are of excellent quality and integrated with the theoretical, modeling and field components of related T&I;research and manufacturing groups efforts.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Ph.D. /Master Degree in analytical chemistry, environmental science or closely related field with strong fundamental knowledge of organic analytical chemistry, gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.
Minimum of 10+ years of working experience in analytical characterization GCMS or GCMSMS methods development research with a strong background at analytical chemistry.
