1. Works independently and with other department and organization staff in planning and executing
internal and external communications programs, volunteer services, strategic planning, and fund
development initiatives.
2. Researches, interviews sources, and stays current on healthcare topics, marketing & fund
development trends, and community activities.
3. Writes, designs, and manages the production and distribution of media releases, ads, brochures,
newsletters, fund development solicitations, direct mail, website updates, and other communications
materials for internal and external audiences.
4. Arranges for vendor services for design, printing, photography, ad placement, and other services.
5. Plans, develops schedules, and implements activities for ongoing solicitation of contributions,
grants, and volunteer services.
6. Plans meetings, presentations, programs, and special events and participates and represents
department in these activities.
7. Participates in cross-department and organization teams as assigned.
8. Supervises administrative assistant, other department staff, and volunteers to execute department
activities.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
10. Applies CQI concepts and methods throughout related activities.
